School Assemblies
A high quality school assembly is one of the most important aspects of a school's curriculum. Its potential is to nurture a positive school ethos that stresses care for oneself; others and the pursuit of all forms of excellence should not be underestimated. It powerfully nurtures the development of intrapersonal intelligence. At Delhi World Public School, Kompally our Assemblies are based on a set of universal values, such as love, peace, truth, co-operation and respect. These values act as the foundation not only for religious education but for the development of personal, social and health education, citizenship and the spiritual, moral, social and cultural aspects of the curriculum.
Field Trips
Field trips give students educational experiences away from their regular school environment. Popular field trip sites include zoos, nature centres, community agencies such as fire stations and hospitals, government agencies, local businesses and science museums. Not only do field trips provide alternative educational opportunities for children, they can also benefit the community if they include some type of community service. We at Delhi World Public School, Kompally believe that Field trips can serve the purpose of breaking the monotony of regular classroom sessions, bringing in a feeling of independence, co-operative learning and a sense of responsibility.
We consider the following benefits from a meaningful Field Trip:
- Hands-On Learning
- New Experiences
- Service to Others
- Better Grades and Understanding
